It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Kay Wright of Choctaw, Oklahoma, born in Sayre, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles White and Nellie White; her daughter Donna; her children-in-law, Wendell Simmons of Edmond, Oklahoma and Kaye LaPointe of Nevada; her grandsons, Jerrod Simmons of Piedmont and Marcus Wright of Nevada; her great grandchildren, Lyla and Kora Simmons; her sisters, Elwanda Mandrell of Chickasha and Lois Lee of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; her husband Lester Wright; her son Russell Wright; and her sister Irene Clark. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Center in Edmond, Oklahoma.
