He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Dee Hackney and Lou Ada Hackney (Hall); his wife Betty Lou Cape; his son Tommy Lee Jr.; and his siblings, Ed, Joe, John, James, Cordelia, Jean, Betty, Novalene and Hazel.
He is survived by: his son Tony Hackney (Carol) of Chickasha; his grandchildren, Joseph Hackney (Alison Shindler) of Chickasha, Alaina Hayes (Levi) of Weleetka and Jared Turney (Brooke) of Chickasha; his great grandchildren, Cooper Hackney, Aiden Hayes, Brycen Hayes, Talan Turney, Landan Turney, Kash Turney and Jonah Schindler; his siblings-in-law, Eddie Cape (Patsy), Jerry Cape (Cathy) and Carol Merchant (Roger); and his niece Jackie Reed (Harold Paul). He is also survived by other nieces and nephews, family and friends.
