He is survived by: his wife Sandra Whitehead; his children, Larry Wayne Whitehead of Marlow, Paula K. Harris (C. J. Cooper) and Sandra M. Clay (Marcello) of Lawton; his grandchildren, Patrick Whitehead, Clayton Whitehead, Kayla Herbert, Akaya Hernandez and Davion Clay; his sisters, Lorene Bilbrey of Duncan and Pat Melton (Wilford) of Bray; his sister-in-law Irene Whitehead of Yukon; and his goddaughter Chantelle Prough of Seminole. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
