It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lana Sue Burks of Chickasha, Oklahoma, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Delmar Strait and Neva Lorraine Felix. She is survived by: her husband Steven Burks; her children, Jesse Burks and Sara Dean (James); her grandchildren, Lilah Elise Dean and James Dean (Hudson); her brothers, Kenny Strait of Wichita, Kansas. and Clinton Strait of Wichita, Kansas.; her father-in-law Wayne Burks of Chickasha; and her siblings-in-law, Vickie Brinlee (Larry) of Edmond, OK. and Randy Burks.
The family graciously asks any attendee to wear a mask, especially if giving out hugs.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation to Friends Fur Change in Chickasha, your local Humane Society, or toward mental health awareness, in her honor.
