It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James William McDoniel (Chickasha, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Magness William McDoniel and Minnie Gertrude McDoniel (Huskey); his wife Margery Kay Ross; his daughter Diana McDoniel Jessee; his grandson Brad Jessee; and his sister Minnie Lou Andrison.
He is survived by: his sons, William (Julie) and Michael (Margaret); his grandchildren, William J. McDoniel, Benjamin McDoniel (Hannah), Sean Jessee (Erin Carrick), Katie Ahlgrim (Drew) and Ross McDoniel; his great grandchildren, Liam, Eli McDoniel and Margot Kay Ahlgrim; his son-in-law Drew Jessee; and his nieces and nephews, Terri Gallaway, Kathi Powell, Julie Ross, Jan Ross, Drew Campo, Jay Ross and Mark Ross.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home (804 Utah Ave, Chickasha, OK 73018). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (210 S 7th St, Chickasha, OK 73018).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, the Chickasha Public School Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
