He was predeceased by: his parents, Jolly Joseph and Elva Lois Burns (Kennedy); his former wife Florence Burns; his wife Ginger Burns; his siblings, Joe Burns and Allene Bowman; and his grandson Jeffery David Burns.
He is survived by: his former wife Florence Lorene McGuire; his children, Curtis (Tammy Burns) of Perkins, David A. (Susan Burns) of Chickasha, Glenda Bailey of Davis, Calvin (Jackie Lunsford) of Apache and Barbara (Kevin McCray) of Apache; his grandchildren, Curtisy Burns, Courtney Burns, Tyler (Stacy Burns), Elizabeth, Jose Ortega, Johnny (Wanda Buckaloo), Jimmy (Tammy Buckaloo), Brenda (Robert Cudaback), Michael (Janna Buckaloo), Jacob (Lisa Buckaloo), Chellie (James McClellan), Brian (Holly Lunsford), Carie (Stephen Anderson), Kelly Lunsford, Cheryl (Samual Ottenwilder), Waylon (Jessi McCray) and Chance (Darci McCray); his brother Kenneth Burt (Shirley Burns); and his siblings-in-law, Patty McGuire, Betty (Clinton Dowler) and Lee McGuire. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
