He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Arthur Russell and Jessie Alberta Henly (Lassiter); his siblings, Loyel Russell, Kenneth Russell, Odell Russell, Patsy Pierson and Phyllis Fuller; his grandchildren, Eric Dwight Acey and Joyce Marie Acey; and his daughter Cheryl Lynn Whitmire.
He is survived by: his spouse Davice Joyce Buck; his great grandchild Aaron Acey; and his children, Jerry Ann Acey (Russell) of Amarillo, Texas, Bobby Ray Russell II of Chickasha, Sharon Rae Russell of Chickasha and Mitchell Chester Russell (Kristi) of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other extended family.
