It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Pruitt of Chickasha, Oklahoma, born in Rocky, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Eugene Wingard and Myrtie Lee Wingard (Campbell); her husband J. C. Pruitt; and her brothers, James Wingard and Clyde Wingard.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Bob Pruitt of Chickasha, Jim Pruitt (Leta) of Chickasha, Janet Quate (Ivan) of Oklahoma City and Jayne Lancaster (Willie) of Blanchard; and her grandchildren, Lori Grant, Christopher Quate, Allison Weaver, Tiffani Pruitt, Jay Pruitt and Shelby Lancaster. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
