He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Dye and Mable "Irene" Dye (Robins). He is survived by: his wife Vicki Salmon; his children, Dustin Dye, Devin Dye of Cheyenne, OK and Stephanie Evans of Hallsville, TX; and his siblings, Lea Ann MaGouira of Marshall, TX, Jennifer Whitson and Bill Dye of Klamath Falls, OR. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Cheyenne Fire Department.
