It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mona Dickens of Cherokee, Oklahoma, born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on November 5, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. G. Phillips and Julia Pearl Atkinson Phillips; her husband Jay S. Dickens; her son Jerry; her grandsons, David and Marvin; and her brothers, Art Kersh and Charles Kersh.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard Culbertson; her children, Sandra Robinson of Aubry, Ervin Dickens (Diane) of Clayton, Sherman Dickens (Sue) of Salmon and Cyndi Woods (Joe) of Cherokee, Oklahoma; and her sister-in-law Teddy Norman of Carlsbad. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Labre Indian School or the First United Methodist Church of Clayton, New Mexico.
