He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Capistrant and Ruby Capistrant; his daughter Eva Capistrant; his stepdaughter Brandy Lea; his son Salvador Capistrant; and his stepson William Mayhugh.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Capistrant; his children, Joseph Capistrant and Renee Hernandez; and his stepchildren, Terry Mayhugh, Kenneth Mayhugh, Lana Berghart and Mary Fankhouser.
