With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dean Stands (Cherokee, Oklahoma), who passed away on December 1, 2019 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Quaker; his grandfather Russel Stands; his children, Karen Eckhardt (Ronnie), Diane Ferrell (Dennis), Cheryl Evans (Tom) and Gordon Stands (Jackie); his grandchildren, Kyle Eckhardt (Amy), Kurtis Eckhardt (Kori), Savanna Ferrell Cottrill (Adam), Sarah Ferrell Bellamy (Josh), Cara Evans, Christa Evans Rogers (Tim), Taylor Stands and Trent Stands (Holly); his great grandchildren, Kaylee Eckhardt, Natalie Eckhardt, Miles Longoria, Owen Bellamy, Benjamin Bellamy, Grayson Bellamy, Madelyn Cottrill, Weston Cottrill, Charlie Rogers, Caroline Rogers and Taya Stands; and his sisters, Helen Binford (Art), Wanda Dailey (Mike Kandt), Darleen Church (Bob) and Peggy Fowler (Bob). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be may be given in Dean's memory to Camp Quaker Haven, Hospice Circle of Love, or to the Cherokee First Baptist Church for the facilities expansion fund or the youth fund.
