He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Shaw and Mable Shaw (Keerns); his wife Joan Mattox Christman; his son Norman Shaw Jr.; his grandson Robert Christman; his siblings, Alice Jean Chapman, Robert Gail Shaw and Shirley J. Townsend; his half-sisters, Cathy Irene Shaw-Wohlischlegal and Jackie Ray Tiry; and his aunt Marie Kearns Martin.
He is survived by: his son Michael Christman (Kimberly) of Austin, TX; his granddaughters, Misty Lee Ward and Jillian Christman; his sisters, Joyce Dunfee (Jude) and Bonnie Lingren; his half-brothers, Donald Earl Shaw (Judy) and Ronald Tiry; his sister-in-law Brenda Tiry; and his goddaughter Megan Rohrbough. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
