He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Beaird and Violet Ruth Beaird (Grant); his daughter Sharmell Beaird; and his siblings, Jerry and Rita Beaird.
He is survived by: his wife Cora Mae Potts; his children, Shawndy Young of Checotah and Shannon Gaines (Torrey) of Durant; his grandchildren, Stacey Durrett (Bailey Jake Alvarez), Sarah Alvarez, Christian Martin, Kathryn Ristuccia (David), Hannah Berryhill (Austin) and Luke Gaines; his great grandchildren, Ava Alvarez and Bonnie Berryhill; his sisters, Regina Shropshire (Bobby) of Checotah, Dovie Smith of Nashville and Lydia Underhill (Glen) of Checotah; and his sister-in-law Judy Beaird of Eufaula. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the special education program at Checotah Public School in honor of Floyd Beaird who was instrumental in getting the program started.
