He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover C. Goad, and Susie Goad, Sr. (Brinsfield); his wife Violet Rose Luper; his grandchildren, Pam Howard and David Roy Goad; and his siblings, Marge Cole, Polly Arnett, Laverne Estrada and Sam Goad.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Howard, Sherry Goad and Lois Conkel (Kirk); his grandchildren, Sean Thomas and Lisa Blount (Leslie); his son David Goad; his great grandchild Kaye Lynn Goad Hughes (Travis); his son Gerald Goad (Sue); his grandchildren, Chris, Justin and Brandon Goad; his son Jerry Goad; and his grandchildren, Jeffrie and Jana.
