He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Whisenhunt and Lydia Newton Whisenhunt; his wives, Imogene Whisenhunt and Wynema Whisenhunt; his siblings, Earnest Whisenhunt (Tom), Mary Whisenhunt, Johnnie Mae Davis and Jessie Imogene Armer; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Whisenhunt.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Whisenhunt (Betty) of Checotah, Oklahoma, Mary Jean Storm (Hoy) of Checotah, Oklahoma, Tim Whisenhunt (Marje) of Checotah, Oklahoma and Lisa Glover (Darren) of Checotah, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Heidi, Bryon (Heather), Hanni (Marty), Aprel (Seth), Amanda (Blake), Magen (Chris), Emma, Tyler (Amanda) and Taylor; and his sister Mildred "Mott" Wooten of Checotah. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
