He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Vinson and Maggie Vinson (Sisco); his brother Arnold Dean; his stepbrother Ted Johnson; his grandparents, J. W., Mary Vinson, Frank and Mary Sisco; and also Kathy Ann Servern.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Dean (Nancy) of Webber Falls and Richard Lee (Heather) of Checotah; his wife Ellen; his son-in-law Gary Severn of Hydro; and his grandchildren, Cory Severn, Cindy Robinson (Jon), Jakob Vinson, David Vinson (Brittany), Rachel Masluk (Ryan), Zachary Vinson and Tyler Vinson.
When he was in seventh grade, he donated blood for a teacher at Onapa, Hartie Mae Knight and her young daughter, Evelyn, who had both been severely burned in an accident at home.
