He is survived by: his wife Joy D. Simpson; his children, Danny Simpson (RaeNell), Tera Shuart (Scott), Brett Berry (Mary) and Blake Berry (Sandra); his grandchildren, Abby Simpson, Jordan Weakley (Kyle), Jacob Shuart, Chad Berry, Jordan Berry, Hesston Berry and Haley Curtsinger (Clint); and his sisters, Barbara Isbell, Yvonne McManaman and Gwen Ware. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
