With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Lavonne Newby of Chandler, Oklahoma, born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 21, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jean Lavonne may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jean Lavonne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Dewey Jordan (Dunkin); and her siblings, Rita Hendon (Lynn Hill) and Jerry Jordan. She is survived by: her husband Harold Newby; her nieces and nephews, Lisa Wright, Jacintha Kelly, Kent Hendon and Jordan Hill; and her sisters-in-law, Margie Newby and Lois Jordan. She is also survived by other extended family and friends.
