As Billy departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Billy may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Billy leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Reeves Brooks and Virgie Marie Brooks (Miller); and his siblings, Charlie, Lawrence (Butch), Wayne, Don Brooks, Mae Cottingham and Goldie Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Diane (Huffman); and his children, Billy Gene Jr. Brooks (Dawn), Michelle James (Dale), Thomas Brooks and Ronda King. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lehman Funeral Home (334501 U. S. Rt. 66, Wellston, OK 74881).
