As Jerry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jerry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jerry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nell McGuffin and Dallas McGuffin; his brother Kenneth; and his grandson Seth Hoover. He is survived by: his children, Vickie McGuffin Moore of Ninnekah Oklahoma and Greg McGuffin of Prosper Texas; his wife Carolyn Kendall; his adoptive son John Gentry; and his foster son Shawn Battenhorst. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Laverty Baptist Church where Jerry served as a deacon for 50 years this month.
