He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Cooper and Edith Hicks (Sands); his wife Cynthia Cooper (Gibson); and his siblings, Floyd, Bill Cooper and Lena Mae Billie.

He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Jerome Cooper (Evelyn Jean) of Mannford and Nathan Tyrone Cooper (Vanessa) of Tulsa; his siblings, Jackie Cooper of Okemah, Rev. Jimmy Hicks (Rosie) of Okemah and Geneva Coker of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Catrina Cherokee Cooper, Skye Whitetree, Brianna Cooper, Nathan Cooper Jr., Hailey Cooper and Hannah Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Cassiah Gaiters, Caesar, Joshua and Kendrick Whitetree.
