He is survived by: his wife Delores Tonahcot; his children, Thomas Poafpybitty, Johnny Sankadota, Tracy Poafpybitty Toehay (Rob Toehay) and Hankie Poafpybitty of Albuquerque, NM; his granddaughters, Mindy Poafpybitty, Cassie Poafpybitty, Zola Ortiz and Tallulah Ortiz; his great grandchildren, Angel Clark of Apache, Bayard of Sherman, Texas, Looking Glass of Sherman, Texas, Ary "Baby Cakes" Looking Glass of Sherman, Texas, Kaci "Cupcake" Carson of Sherman, Texas, Elgin of Sherman, Texas, Leslie Lopez of Sherman, Texas, Nathanyl Gomez of Sherman, Texas, Amiya Gomez of Sherman, Texas, Angelina Poafpybitty of Sherman, Texas, Thomas Lopez of Sherman, Texas, Chris Lopez of Sherman, Texas and Carly Lopez of Sherman, Texas; and his siblings, Gale Sankadota, Erma Sankadota, Joyce Vinyard, Charlie Hansen and Stecker.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ray & Martha's Funeral Home (20 W Main St, Carnegie, OK 73015). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church (913 E 4th St, Carnegie, OK 73015).
