With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Eugene Birdshead Sr. of Canton, Oklahoma, born in Bethesda, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2024 at the age of 55. He was predeceased by: his mother Sarah Birdshead; his sister Nuo'wahhghis Richardson; and his niece Jessica Cogburn. He is survived by: his wife Lou Ann; his children, Jacob Birdshead of Ada, Jalon Birdshead of Tulsa, Sarah Shields of Ada, Tommie Shields of Tulsa, Breanne Birdshead of Oklahoma City, Mark Birdshead, Jr. of Ada, Oklahoma and Jace Birdshead of Ada, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kyrie Peteet, Harmony Peteet and Khiyani Birdshead; his siblings, Joseph Allen Birdshead of Clinton, David Birdshead of Oklahoma City, Susan Desjarlais (Ron) of Belcourt, Amick Birdshead of Canton and Phillip Birdshead of Billings, Montana; and his stepmother Jo Ann Birdshead of Billings, Montana..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Pierce Funeral Home - Canton (400 W Pne St, Canton, OK 73724). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Canton Emergency Response Center (205 N Jefferson St, Canton, OK 73724). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
