It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Duane Van Meter of Canton, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 20, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gilbert and Thelma Mable VanMeter (Blanka); his son Gilbert Duane VanMeter; and his sisters, Carol and Sue VanMeter.
He is survived by: his wife Lua VanMeter; and his children, Debbie Acord (Floyd), John Carlisle (Penny), Timothy Carlisle (Kathy) and Carl VanMeter (Misti). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
