She was predeceased by: her parents, William D. Steimer and Violet V. Steimer (Roof); her son Tom Shade; and her sisters, Pat Harbert and Peggy Steimer.
She is survived by: her husband Stanley Edward Shade; her children, Eric Shade (Barbara) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dr. Starley Shade (Lynn Wenger); and her sisters, Jana Gerhart (Ron) of Canadian and Stella Eskew of Bentonville, Arkansas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
