With solemn reverence, we commemorate Donald Ray Farris of Canadian, Oklahoma, whose life came to an end on January 8, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Farris and Naomi Farris (Welch); and his sisters, Olna Farris and Delores Farris-Williams. He is survived by: his wife Vicque; his children, Dale Farris, Terry Farris (Kelly), Brandon Farris, Sherry McDaniel, Shelly Dortch (Jeff), Lori Thouvenal (Jared), Charla Landwermeyer and Marla Farris; and his brother David Farris (Marie). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home (1410 E Carl Albert Pkwy, McAlester, OK 74501). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel (1410 E Carl Albert Pkwy, McAlester, OK 74501).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the Oklahoma Coaches Association Assistance Plan, which can be found on-line.
