He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Louise Murphy (Miller) and Clarence Veston Murphy; his wife Esther Murphy (Bishop); his stepfather Garland "Curly" Wilson; and his brothers, Windell Murphy, Patrick Murphy and Anthony Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Murphy, Jr. (Rachel), David Murphy, Sr., Richard Stickler (Beverly), Sherrie Murphy (Kenneth Sparks) and Racheal Statzer (Luke); his stepbrother Larry Wilson; his grandchildren, Tommy, Christian, Samantha, Fawn, Melissa, Charrie, Moose, Kenny, Jr., David, Jr., Timmy, Brandon, Tylor and Faith; and also Twylla Brock (Eric). He is also survived by several other grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
