He is survived by: his wife Janie Pate of Calera; his children, Kenneth Pate (Kendra) of Calera, Allen Pate (Tina) of Princeton and Melissa Pate of Calera; and his grandchildren, Kacie Welch, Charles Pate, Kristin Boehme, Alissa Waters and Caleb Judkins. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
