He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Short (Boehme); his sons, David Short, Jr. (Rhonda) of Calera and Devlin Short (Elaine) of Calera, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Andrea Thompson of Caddo, Oklahoma and Chad Morris of Caddo, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Dustin, Josh, Tyler, Summer, Desiree, Miranda and Trinity; and his siblings, Kenny Short of Ada, Oklahoma, Galetta Lamar of Durant, Debbie Wright of Durant, Annette Loyd of Durant and Jan McCarty of Durant. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
