He is survived by: his siblings, Loretha Gates of Wright City, OK, Linda Sue Battiest of Broken Bow, OK and Doyce "Sonny" Battiest of San Antonio, TX; his children, Luther Battiest, Jr. of Valliant, OK, Lawrance Battiest (Gloria), Randy Battiest (Donya), Gary Battiest of Wright City, OK, Daniel Battiest (LaDonna) and Debra Watkins (Lee); his wife Donna Battiest of Caddo, OK; and his nieces, Melissa Battiest Miller of San Antonio, TX, Michelle Holt of Garvin, OK, Serena and Carol Battiest. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
