He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne G. Nichols and Gwen Nichols (Hall); his stepmother Eva Brown; his former wife Phyllis Nichols; his grandson Jason Thompson; his siblings, Terry, Tony and Anna Marie James; and his nephew Ty Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Nichols; his children, Ginger Nichols-Womack, April Large (Vincent), Susie Oakley, Belinda Vallone-Lively (Douglas), Terry Nicole Fields (Robert), Scott Toft (Candace) and Michael Vallone; his grandchildren, Sidney Nichols, Brandy Dorrell, Katrina Shelton, Billy Fite, Kristina Daugherty, Terry Fields, Megan Ketcher, Doc Oakley, Angelina Vallone, Faith Oakley, Joseph Vallone and Noah Vallone; his sisters, Gwen Andrews and Phyllis Myers; his niece Wendy Nichols; his daughters, Cindy Turner and Stacey Callen; and also, Rick Weese, Rick Artherberry and Rick Cook. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
