It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronnie Gene Thompson (Butler, Oklahoma), born in Clinton, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 16, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin L. Thompson and Verna Thompson (Baumgartner); his uncle Herman Melton of Clinton, Oklahoma; and his cousins, Richard Baumgartner and Lonnie Skelton.

He is survived by: his cousins, Wayne Baumgartner (Cathy) of Butler, Albert Baumgartner of Clovis, Barbara Findley of Butler, Vicki Baxter of Arapaho and Cathy Harrelson of El Reno, Oklahoma; and his close friend Shawn Dewees (Carrie) of Clinton, Oklahoma..

“Ronnie was my best friend. I love him and will miss him very much. We sat around on his back porch last Sunday like we usually do, talking about politics (his favorite subject) and the usual gossip. We argued, we laughed, we shared food & friends. We had a great Christmas last year. I'm very sad. It feels like someone just slammed a door in my face. I will cherish all the great times we had.
