It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Louis Wohl of Butler, Oklahoma, born in Leedey, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Wohl and Rosa Louise Wohl (Kline); his wife Norma Mae Stevens; his grandson Eric Edwards; and his siblings, Amos Wohl, Andrew Wohl, Bill Wohl, Chester Wohl, Frank Wohl, Carolina Burk, Rose Noles and Violet Redwine.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Weckerly (Jenny) of Ardmore, David Weckerly of Butler, John Wohl Jr. of Butler, Lonny Weckerly (Linda) of Ventura, California, Peggy Dominguez of Butler and Violet Edwards (Danny) of Owasso; his sisters, Lydia Gass of Lubbock, Jewel Mathews of El Reno, Minnie Oaks of Elk City and Susan Chester of Clinton, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Krissi Duffey (Chad) of Tuttle, DJ Garza (Lacey) of Owasso, John Garza (Heather) of Sperry, Kraig Edwards (Brittany) of Collinsville, Sally Wohl (James) of Norman, Sammy Dominguez (Hailey) of Missouri, Janna Walker (Josh) of Branson, Mary Lane (Jeremy) of Tulsa, Amber Cunningham of Missouri, Teya Weckerly of Ventura, Lloyd Cunningham of Missouri and Teather Edwards of Wichita, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services (600 W Country Club Blvd, Elk City, OK 73644). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel (600 W Country Club Blvd, Elk City, OK 73644).
