It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Schurter of Burlington, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 29, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sam Schurter to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Schurter and Marie Schurter; his children, Warren Russell "Rusty" and Staci Su; his sisters, Rose Finley and Doris Daughhetee; and his son-in-law Richard Morris.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Schurter of Burlington, Oklahoma; his children, Rusty Schurter (Terza) of Burlington, Oklahoma and Robin Morris of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Dale Schurter of Rosewood, Ohio and Darlene Brown of Anaheim, California. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Stamp Out Starvation or Cookson Hills Christian Camp through the funeral home.
