He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Roger James (Brenda Dodson) of Houston, TX, Lee Weldon James, Jr. and Christy Chance Towery (Scott Ross) of Broken Bow, OK; his siblings, Edward James (Betty) of Waco, TX, Carol Lyn and Tommie Nixon of Abilene, TX; his grandchildren, Josh James (Kiym), Sarah James, Jessica Reece and Mason Towery (Cali); and his great grandchildren, Atticus, Atlas Towery, Cadence and Kylie James.

Weldon and Virginia were united in marriage on March 6, 2010 at Charity Baptist Church and shared ten wonderful years before his passing.
