John left this world on April 6, 2025 at the age of 67, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Barnes and Shirley Barnes (Halbert); his son Bo Barnes; his sister Charlene Vail (Barnes); his parents-in-law, Ben and Mary Tatum; and his brothers-in-law, Loyd Tatum and Jimmy Tatum.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Barnes; his children, Jason Barnes of Broken Bow, Ace Barnes (Wendy) of Idabel, Dorina, Craig Bryant of Broken Bow and Merle Tatum; his grandchildren, Keygan, Cammie, Gavin, Bella Barnes, Bravin, Jera Noah, Tatum Barnes, Katelynn, Haven, Gage Smith, Marina, Ema, Jax, Emmitt and Cooper Bryant; his siblings, Judy West of Idabel, Gene (Sharon Barnes), Michelle Phillips of Pensacola, FL, Tim (Alice Barnes) and Chris (Laura Barnes); and his sister-in-law Rayetta Fuller (Mike) of Rufe.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunch - Singleton Funeral Home Chapel (205 N Broadway St, Broken Bow, OK 74728). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Broken Bow Cemetery E. Memorial.
