He was predeceased by: his parents, Loftin Compton (Pete) and Catherine Mitchell Compton; his sons, Casey Compton and Mitchell Compton; and his brother-in-law Paul Fannin.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Compton; his children, Jimmy Compton (Christina) of Keller, TX, Tammy Hill (Scott) of Watauga, TX and Tracy Fergerson (Greg) of Lubbock; his siblings, Dewayne Compton (Kathy) of Cleveland, AL and Paula Fannin of Maud, TX; and his grandchildren, Ericha Compton, Zachary Compton, Zoe Compton, Kaylah Compton, Ryan Compton, Kris Hill, Jaden Fergerson, Jacy Jo Mace, Kaden Mace, Kolton Mace, Maelee Fergerson and Landri Fergerson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
