It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lackey (Broken Bow, Oklahoma), born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Jean Lackey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his nephew Brian Lee Lacky of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his cousins, Tamilane Murray of Ludlow, Opal Wilson of Smithville, Janna Shelton of Watson, Corbis Charlton of Smithville, Neal Charlton of Colorado Springs, Leslie Charlton of Watson, Joy Fair of Octavia and Darren Lackey of Edmond. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
