He was predeceased by: his parents, DeRuse Sr. Cooper and Willow Cooper; his former wife Penny Cooper; his children, DeRuse E Cooper, III (Gene) and Cynthia Shawn Hutchings; his great grandchildren, Cooper Bradley Collins and Case Charles Bray; his in-laws, Dr. JP Vanderpool, Orene Vanderpool, DeRuse and Willow Cooper; and his siblings-in-law, James Perry Jimmy'Vanderpool, Sue Vanderpool and James Newendorp.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Vanderpool (Penney); his daughter Candace Collins (Mitch Martin); his siblings, Dr. Ben Cooper of Cache, OK and Helen; his brother-in-law Bill Nygard of Okmulgee, OK; his sister Margaret Newendorp of Tulsa, OK; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Tom, Susan Vanderpool and Cynthia Vanderpool of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Hunter Hutchings, Haley, Kelby Dean, Caylee Collins, Canon and Cheyenne Collins; and his great grandchildren, Carson, Chloee, Caitlee Collins, Emyree Bridges, Delaney and Decker Dean.
