He was predeceased by: his wife Opal Lavon Hastings (Jones). He is survived by: his children, Carl Edward Hastings of Wister, Earl Mathew Hastings (Barbara) of Springdale and Jane Merz (Ed) of Broken Bow; and his siblings, William Hastings (Marilyn) of Bokoshe and Marie McDonald of Bokoshe. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
