He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Wheeler and Irene Jennings Wheeler; and his siblings, Harold Wheeler, Florence Ann Graham and Virgie Green Faircloth.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Smith; his brother Curtis "Dink" Wheeler of Idabel; his children, Sarah (Terry Prater) of Broken Bow, Cathy (Gene Cockerham) of Idabel and Preston (Leisa Wheeler) of Idabel; his grandsons, Mark Baker of Idabel, Randall (Sandy Baker), Eli (Michaela Prater), Drew (Kelsey Prater), Koty (Kaitlin Wheeler) and Skyler (Hailey Wheeler); and his great grandchildren, Gareth Baker, Addison Christie, Jonah Price, Mackenzie McClellan, Sarah Prater, Colton and Cason Wheeler.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bunch - Singleton Funeral Home Chapel (205 N Broadway St, Broken Bow, OK 74728). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
