Austin Battiest Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2022, at the age of 75, Austin Battiest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Battiest and Elsie Battiest; his daughter Andrea Battiest; his brothers, Joe Freeman Battiest and Virgil Battiest; and his sister-in-law Delores Battiest.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Battiest of Broken Bow, OK; his son Ed Ryan Battiest of Moore, OK; his granddaughter Morgan Battiest of Goldsby, OK; and his sister Eveline Steele (Dale). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Austin was a former president of the Broken Bow Quarterback Club, member of the Broken Bow City Park Committee and the Weyerhaeuser Foundation and also was instrumental in getting the County Wide Dumpster Program implemented.
