He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Ruth Johnson Nakishi and A. W. Davis Nakishi, Sr.; his siblings, Freeman Ray Jessie and Nancy Lee Taylor (Jessie); his niece Carmen Marie Taylor; his great-nephew Caleb Taylor; and his cousins, Lola Wesley, Rozella Wesley and Tina Willis.
He is survived by: his cousin Alfred; his wife Bessie Jean Taylor Nakishi; his daughters, Tiffany Renee and Jennifer Rose Nakishi; his stepchildren, Teresa Coon of Ada, OK, Rico Coon of Odessa, TX and Jason Coon of Florida; his nephew Steven Lee Jacobs; his nieces, VerLinda Kay (Robert Lemuel Winship Jr.) and Nicole Tyne Taylor; his great-niece Kathy Anne Taylor of Henryetta, OK; his nephew Terry Wayne Jessie (family: Gerren Keith Jessie); his sister-in-law Geraldine Jessie of Dallas, TX; his cousins, Joy Recendiz (family: Gwen Pond) and Wilma Wesley (family: Willis Wesley); and his great-niece Vanessa May Noah. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunch - Singleton Funeral Home Chapel (205 N Broadway St, Broken Bow, OK 74728). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nanih Chito United Methodist Church.
