He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sander and Teresa Mazgay Sander; his siblings, Ann Gluvna, Mary Spitman, Mickey Tomcho, Elizabeth Sander, Robert, Constantine, Joe and Stanley J. Sander; and his daughter Kateri Anne Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Dora "Doby" Fierro Sanders; his children, Daria Blocker (Vince), Anne Fell (David) and Duane Sanders (Katie); his siblings, Sophie Girovsky of Corry, PA, Pete Sander of Corry, PA and John Sanders (Ilsa) of LaPorte, TX; his sister-in-law Faye Sander of Erie, PA.; his grandchildren, Lauren O'Neill (Brad), Zachry Williams (Melissa), Nicholas Perez, Natalie Nickel (Andrew Campbell), Patrick Nickel and MIchael Nickel; and his great grandchildren, Hali Williams, Gavin Willams, Benjamin Campbell and Rory Campbell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
