He was predeceased by : his parents, Wayne Cowan and Wilma Jean Cowan (Teter); his former wife Barbara Jean Cowan; his brother Mike Cowan; his nephew Jon Cowan; and his parents-in-law, Geneva and Ken Thurman.
He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth; his children, Michelle Genice Graves (Will Moore), Alexander Layne Cowan (Lacey) of Spavinaw, OK, Katrina Jean Cortese (Matt) of Claremore, OK, Lorri Cowan of Broken Arrow, Erin Danielle Cowan of Claremore, OK, Jessica Rene Cowan of Claremore, OK, Jules Pitts of Grand Lake, OK and Jarrod Pitts of Grand Lake, OK; his grandchildren, Brittany Jean Adsit (Chase), Madelyn Kay Moore, Isaac Layne Moore, Mason Layne Cowan, Maddox Alexander Cowan, Hailey Jo Cortese, Nate Matthew Cortese and Phoenix Pitts; and his siblings, Jerry Cowan (Lisa) of Pryor, OK, Justin Cowan (Linda) of Coweta, OK and Judy Gibson (Ralph) of Locust Grove, OK.
