He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Benton and Rose Benton; his grandson Shane Golden; and his siblings, Billy Earl, Jerry Pat, Jimmy, Betty Walker and Linda Penny.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Benton; his children, Susan Ashpaugh (Brad), Janet Benton (Todd Bazata), Jon Benton and Amy Golden; his brother Michael Benton; his grandchildren, Brandon Ashpaugh (Asako), Braxie Bixler, Brittney Ashpaugh, Sean Benton, Jessica, Chelse Benton, Sarah Golden and Jacob Golden; and his great grandchildren, Landon Ashpaugh, Mattilyn Bixler and Jaxon Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
