He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Franklin Powell and Caroline Burnette Powell; and his siblings, Patricia Julian, Shirley Foster and Beverlee Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Powell of Broken Arrow; his children, Carolyn Diskey Cools (Kaise) and Richard Michael Powell (Kelly Powell); his sister Connie "Judy" Tow; and his grandchildren, Faith Diskey, Madeline Diskey and Mitchell Diskey.
