He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Gafkjen and Luella Gafkjen (Freese); and his siblings, Florence Botten and Paul Lee Gafkjen. He is survived by: his daughters, Valerie Coleman, Vicki White (James), Christine Schulte (Karl), Michelle Sternberg (David) and Natalie Fyles; his grandchildren, Miranda, Jennifer, Michael, Matthew, Rachel (Landen), Brennan, Anthony, Stephanie and Ella; his great grandchild Rayna; and his brother Ernest Gafkjen.
