He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Baer (Helzer) and Clarence William Baer; his wife Jessie Pearl Baer; his daughter Lorraine Flemings; and his granddaughter Tiffany Schroeder.
He is survived by: his children, Lawrence John Baer III and Laurie Waller (Richard L. Keeter); his stepchildren, Shirley Johanson, Alan Mays and Jean Ann Hill; his grandchildren, Jessy Newhart (Caitlin), Brandon, John and Allie Baer; his great grandchildren, Freya Newhart and Allie Schroeder; his sisters, Evelyn Hackler and Carol Rogers; and his pet Socrates "Soccers".
